Attorney General Ken Paxton is acquitted of all Impeachment charges
Tracking the Texas Senate vote on the Impeachment Trial of Ken Paxton
The Texas Senate voted today to acquit Attorney Genearal Ken Paxton of the impeachment charges on what was mostly a party-line vote of 14-16 with a few exceptions.
I’ve included a chart below showing the votes.
The pink represents the Democrats who, in most cases, voted in a block for conviction, the green group represents the Republican Senators who voted initially to dismiss the charges, and the yellow represents swing Republicans who voted to hear the case on the first day of the trial. Republican Senators Robert Nichols and Kelly Hancock are the only two Republicans who voted to convict Paxton.
